Notice is hereby given that the Lenox Zoning Board of Appeals will hear an application by Pennrose, LLC for a Comprehensive Permit pursuant to M.C.L. c. 40B, §§20-23, to be held Wednesday, November 17th at 6:00PM at the Lenox Community Center, 65 Walker Street, Lenox MA 01240. The applicant seeks a comprehensive permit to construct 65 units of affordable rental apartments at 36 Pittsfield Road (Routes 7 & 20), Assessors Map 17, Parcel 41, comprised of 14.95+ acres of land, title to which stands in James D. Hashim, Trustee of the June R. Hashim Revocable Trust. This housing development will take the form of thirteen (13) residential buildings along with a community building located along a circular driveway. Residential buildings will be three-story structures with five (5) units in each. The residential units will be a mix of one to three bed-room units priced for a range of income levels.  In its Comprehensive Permit Application, the applicant seeks exceptions through waivers from Sections 5.2 (A)(4), 9.8.6, and 9.8.7 for Multi-family dwelling use, including number of units and number of units per building; Sections 6.1.1 and 6.1.5, “Lot Frontage”, Sections 6.1.1 and 9.8.5, “District Boundary Line Setback”, Section 6.1.7, “District Boundary Line Setback Plantings”; Section 6.1.8, “Building Height”; Sections 7.1.1, 7.1.5 and 9.8.9, for number of parking spaces provided; Section 7.1.8,  for parking location; Section 7.1.9 and 9.8.8 for driveway width; Section 7.2.6 for sign setback; Sections 10.2.4, 10.2.5, 10.2.5.9 and 10.2.13 for multifamily dwelling use in the Gateway District as submitted and from the Lenox Subdivision Rules and Regulations to the extent necessary to create the development lot in accordance with the Comprehensive Permit. Comments may be submitted to the Lenox Zoning Board of Appeals via landuse@townoflenox.com.
