The meeting was recorded.

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM. 

 

Vincent and Florence Ammendola, for property at 290 West St., Map 6, Parcel 20, Special Permit under Section 5.3, “Nonconforming Uses and Structures” and Section 9.2 “Accessory Dwelling Units” of the Lenox Zoning Bylaw for a pre-existing Accessory Dwelling Unit attached to their home.

 

Presenting the petition was Peggy Ammendola, aka Florence Ammendola. Vincent Ammendola was also present.

 

RF disclosed that the petitioner is the Land Use Clerk and that the Board will be objective and not discriminate in her favor in this matter because of that.

 

PA stated that she and her husband purchased the property about 23 years ago, the apartment was there. It is 550 square feet and the house is over 1700 square feet. This falls under the 40% limitation for an ADU.

 

The house is located on property that is just less than one acre.

 

Eric Haythorne was present only as an observer.

 

There was neither correspondence nor members of the public present.

 

RF made a motion to grant the petition as presented.  ND seconded the motion and the Board voted to agree 5-0.

 

RESCHEDULED* 7:00 PM Shanlen Realty Corp, dba Hoff’s, 90 Main Street, Map 43, Parcel 192, Special Permit under Section 5.3.2 of the Lenox Zoning Bylaw, “Nonconforming Uses” to renovate the current garage and office into a convenience store, with a reduction of the number of filling stations from six (6) to four (4), and the relocation of automobile service and towing service to elsewhere.  This was originally scheduled for May 16, 2018 but the notice was defective and therefore was rescheduled to June 6th.   *On June 1st Attorney Jeff Lynch requested that this be rescheduled to July 18, 2018.

 

Approve Minutes: May 2, 2018- The minutes were approved by consensus.
