Historical Commission
Mission
The Lenox Historical Commission was formed by the Select Board to preserve and protect the historical assets of Lenox; to record (through surveys) the historical assets of the Town; to assist any Town board when asked; to educate the citizens about their historical heritage through exhibits and lectures; to make public records available to anyone who asks, including scholars, historians, town boards, researchers, historic preservationists, the Massachusetts Historical Commission, the National Register of Historic Places; and to assist those wanting to place their buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.
