While the Library building remains closed to the public, we are pleased to offer contactless curbside pickup beginning June 15 so that patrons once again may borrow and enjoy materials from our collection.
How Curbside Pickup Will Work:
- Search the online Evergreen catalog to determine which items are available on our shelves (make sure Lenox Library is selected). Please note that interlibrary loan is not available at this time.
- Call us at 413-551-2769 or email [email protected] (include “curbside” in subject) to request your items. Staff will take requests and place holds Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Staff will schedule a pickup time with you. Appointment times will be held at 15-minute intervals between 12:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- At your scheduled pickup time, your materials will be available on a table in front of the Library in a paper bag marked with the last four digits of your phone number. Please arrive promptly to provide adequate space and time for other patrons to also safely receive materials.
Other Things to Know:
When can I begin requesting materials?
We will begin taking material requests for curbside pickup on Monday, June 15.
How much can I request?
In order to best serve the needs of all library patrons, we will begin by limiting requests to:
- 5 items per pickup
- 1 pickup per day
Where can I park?
There will be a designated parking spot available on Main Street for Library curbside pickups. Please be considerate and park there only when picking up curbside items.
Are the items safe for me to touch?
Staff will wear gloves and masks when processing curbside materials. The plastic bins will be disinfected between appointments and the pickup table also will be disinfected regularly. In addition, all returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours before handling.
How do I return items?
Please continue to place all returns in the Library’s book drop; please do not place returns on the curbside table.
What if my items are late?
We are not charging any overdue fines at this time. Simply place your items in the book drop.
