 Minutes

 

Members present: Chair Neal Carpenter, (NC); Joseph Strauch, (JS); Vince Ammendola, (VA; David Lane, (DL); (DL arrived late.) Mark Smith, (MS)

Absent with notification: Rose Fitzgerald Casey, (RFC); Dick Ferren, (DF)

Staff present: Peggy Ammendola, Land Use Clerk, (PA)

 

Certificate of Compliance, Gary D. Aprea and Jacquelyn S. Leuzze, 24 New Lenox Road, Map 28 Parcel 33

 

Presenting the request was Mike Kulig of Berkshire Engineering.

 

There was a site visit on July 17th which was attended by JS, NC, MS and Benjamin Naylor who is with Berkshire Engineering.  VA and DL individually went at another time. 

 

NC said that the Commission is requesting that the Yokun Brook at Lenox Homeowners’ Association clean out the detention basin.

 

VA made a motion to issue a Certificate of Compliance and JS seconded the motion. The Commission voted 4-0 to agree.   

 

DL arrived at this point. 

 

Certificate of Compliance, Town of Lenox, West Dugway Road, Map 22 Parcel 4 & 21-

There was a site visit on June 26th that was attended by Landuse Director Gwen Miller, and Commissioners MS, JS, and NC. DL and VA individually went at another time.  MS made a motion to issue the Certificate of Compliance and JS seconded the motion. The Commission voted to agree 5-0.

 

Plans are for the Town to file a Request for Determination of Applicability for the installation of a gazebo.

 

Approve Minutes: June 21, 2018-DL made a motion to approve the minutes with minor edits. JS seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 4-0-1. MS abstained as he was not at that meeting. 

 

Other Business:

Forestry Memorandum of Understanding-June 6, 2018 was provided to the Commissioners. It is in regards to forestry activities under the Wetlands Protection Act.

Laurel Lake Preservation Association-A Notice of Intent has been filed and Commissioners were provided with copies. They are on the agenda for August 2nd. NC asked the Commissioners to review and if they have conditions to make note in advance of the hearing. 

Parson’s Marsh-NC advised the Commissioners that they have been invited to view the improved accessibility to Parson’s Marsh on August 2nd at 11:30 AM.
