Notice is hereby given that at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Town Hall – 6 Walker Street, Lenox, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hear the Petition of John and Michelle Tran concerning property located at 274 Pittsfield Road (Map 27, Parcel 75). The property is zoned C3A.  The Petitioners request a Variance under Section 3.3.4 or in the alternative a Special Permit under Section 3.3.5 of the Zoning Bylaw to allow the addition of a garage to a pre-existing single family house that will create a new nonconformity.  The proposed garage will not comply with the street line set back of 75 feet; a setback of 50 feet is proposed.  The garage will also not comply with the property line setback of 30 feet; a setback of 24 feet is proposed on the southern property line.  Copies of the application, plans and supporting materials are available for inspection at the office of the Lenox Town Clerk during regular business office hours.
