NHS students from Lenox High will be offering “Smart Phone” tutoring again beginning 11/22.

Open Enrollment for Medicare D is booked.  Open Enrollment ends December 31.

Sue is doing an Art class to make Kissing Balls and/or Santa’s.

Poker Club is growing strong. Van remains extremely busy with 29 new people utilizing the van.  Sue made three Home visits explaining Van usage and Fuel Assistance.  Our Congregate Meals are growing as well those who attend enjoy the meal together and playing BINGO.  We had six new people join us for lunch.

Lenox Living Magazine did a nice article on Lenox Community Center and the “goings on” here at the Center.

Youth Services Report:  GREAT, Enjoying the warm weather! Jen tells us that Hip Hop Class ended on October 24th.  A video of the participants was mailed home to their families.

Chess continues to be popular along with Sewing/Creativity, and Illustrations.  Ballroom Hockey began last Thursday, 12 kids played.  This will run through December 15th on Tuesdays.  We held the second dance night for girls, 5 girls attended and all had fun.  Tanya wants to continue with this hoping others will want to come.  Guys Night Out- 18 guys came and had a great time.  November 18th will be out next Guys Night Out.

Soccer ended on 11/29 it was a fantastic season.  GPS is hosing a great soccer program for us.  The Halloween Parade was well attended.  We had a problem with the trailer hitch to pull the wagon so…..the band wasn’t on the wagon however it all off without a hitch….(sorry, I couldn’t help myself).

On November 8th there was no school- we had 61 kids come, that went to see the Troll Movie.

November 29th is Wreath Making.  December 2 is the Town Tree Lighting.  The Center’s Holiday trip is full with 51 people heading to NYC for shopping and whatever they choose to do with their time there. And December 16th is Pajama Night at the Lenox Library.

Granite City along with Pignatelli Electric was here at the Center to do the Energy efficient Lighting with on/off entering and exiting lighting.

New member to the LCC Board- Jen Picard is going to be joining the Board when we resume in January.

The upstairs apartment here at the Center will be livable by January 1, 2017.  Mike Sullivan, Jr. will be living here and will do Security and such.  The apartment looks amazing and the set up with Mike being here will work out well.

Ice Ring is back at the Center- the grass has had a chance to shore-up and if the tarp comes up mid March it won’t hurt the new grass.

Heating System:  Well the Center has HEAT!  The system is up and running after a long process of 105 degree heat and water dripping down the walls.  Nothing would regulate the heat….after a week they finally put in a $30.00 thermostat…..and now it is all regulated.
