Subject:  Conflict of Interest Online Training Program and Summary*



All “Municipal Employees”, which includes unpaid elected and appointed town officials, must complete the Conflict of Interest Law Online Training Program.   To begin the training, go to   www.mass.gov/ethics, click on “Education & Training Resources”; on the drop down menu click on Online Training Program.  Upon completion of the Online Training Program, you must print out two copies of the certificate, keep a copy for yourself and provide a copy to the Town Clerk.


STEP TWO:  www.mass.gov/ethics,
Each “Municipal Employee”, including unpaid elected and appointed town officials, is required to sign a written acknowledgement that he/she has been provided with a summary of the Conflict of Interest Law. If you do not have the summary, go to www.mass.gov/ethics, under “Education & Training Resources” click on Municipal Employee Summary.  Fill out the receipt at the end of the summary and return to the Town Clerk’s office.  


        *If you took the Conflict of Interest Online Training (Ethics Test) in 2015 or 2016, you do not have to retake it.  This training is only required Every Other Year, the Summary is             every year.  If you believe you have a current Certificate or Summary on file, please call me and I'll be happy to let you know.
