2007 Burning Permits are now available at the Town Clerks office.
There is a $5.00 fee for the Burning Permit.
This permit is valid for fire at the address listed on the permit only.
The Fire Department must grant permission to burn on each day.
This permit does not release party from any liability for damages.
The person setting fire shall have sufficient help present to control the fire and fire shall not be left until entirely extinguished.
This permit shall be shown to anyone who may request it.
In case of heavy wind or otherwise dangerous condition this permit is invalid.
Burning shall not take place within 75 feet of a structure.
The burning of grass-leave-hay and stumps is prohibited.
The burning shall take place between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
The burning season runs from January 15 to April 30 with the permission of the Fire Department as provided by law.
