Do You have a Legal Question You Would Like Answered? The Lenox COA “Sidebar” Can Help!
If you have a situation that would benefit from some legal advice, The Council on Aging offers “Sidebar” - free 1/2 hour sessions staffed with a local volunteer attorney. During your appointment they will try to answer your basic inquiries or give you the advice you need as to where to turn. This is informational only, and does not commit either of you to an attorney/client relationship. This service is limited to Lenox seniors only, and the volunteers all live or practice in Lenox. This will be offered on Friday, March 17th from 10:00 am to 12 noon with Jeff Lynch. If you feel that you could benefit from a short session with one of our local attorneys, call the COA office at 637-5535 to make your appointment.

EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY - A New Way of Looking at Memory Loss
A Community Talk
For the person affected by memory loss, caregivers, loved ones and friends. This workshop will help us discover a more positive way of looking at memory loss to inspire fresh new ideas for uplifting momentstogether.
Wednesday, April 12th—1-3 pm Lenox Community Center
This workshop offers an interactive experience as we look at pictures that reveal a variety of creative engagement for a person affected by memory loss and for creating a experience with caregivers. We will explore the concept of personhood and holistic approaches that spark inspiration, renew hope, expand well being and bring forth unique artistic expressions (paintings, poetry, art conversations, legacy books) from adults participating in dementia-specific museum and art-making programs.
We will learn how to create an engaging and supportive environment for people affected by dementia and discuss activities such as interactive art-making, at home museum visits, iconic movie clips to prompt reminiscence and opinion, poetry, art journaling, bookmaking, and community events.
