Fuel Assistance Applications at the Community Center
Berkshire Community Action Council has just announced new eligibility guidelines for this years’ fuel assistance. For example, for the coming heating season, a household of one is eligible for assistance if their income is $34,001 per year or less, and for a household of two, the amount is $44,463. If you think you may qualify for fuel assistance, please call the COA office at 637-5535 and you will be told if you are within the guidelines according to your household’s income and family size. Applications will be available soon at the Community Center, and Senior Services Coordinator Sue Holmes can assist you in filling it out properly and gathering the items needed for eligibility verification. This will be an easy and convenient way to make sure your application is completed correctly and submitted early
so that you will be sure to get the monetary assistance you need this winter.
